John Calvin was a French theologian, pastor, and reformer in Geneva during the Protestant Reformation. He was a principal figure in the development of the system of Christian theology later called Calvinism. His magnum opus, the Institutes of the Christian Religion, remains one of the most influential works of Protestant theology.

Martin Luther was a German professor of theology, priest, author, composer, Augustinian friar, and a seminal figure in the Protestant Reformation. His 95 Theses, nailed to the door of the Castle Church in Wittenberg in 1517, challenged the authority of the Pope and sparked the Reformation. His translation of the Bible into German made it accessible to ordinary people.

Charles Haddon Spurgeon was a British Baptist minister who remains highly influential among Christians of various denominations. He was known for his rich oratory skills and his deep Reformed theology. He preached to an estimated 10 million people throughout his life and his sermons were published in 63 volumes. He founded Spurgeon's College in London.

Ulrich Zwingli

Huldrych Zwingli was a leader of the Reformation in Switzerland, born during the same era as Martin Luther. He was the pastor of the Grossmünster in Zürich and began the Swiss Reformation in 1519. His theology differed from Luther's in several areas, most notably on the Lord's Supper. He died in battle defending the Reformed faith at Kappel.

John Knox was a Scottish minister, theologian, and writer who was a leader of the country's Reformation. He is considered the founder of the Presbyterian denomination in Scotland. His History of the Reformation in Scotland remains a primary source for the period. He famously declared, 'Give me Scotland or I die.'
